Album Description
In one of the biggest jumps ever recorded in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Rihannas newest single "Take A Bow" rockets from #53 to #1 this week. "Take A Bow" also debuts at #1-bullet on the Billboard Hot Digital Songs Chart with a phenomenal first week of 266,696 scans. The song was written by fellow Def Jam artist Ne-Yo and produced by Stargate, the same team responsible for Rihannas "Unfaithful" (of 2006), and "Hate That I Love You," her Top 10 duet with Ne-Yo released late last year. "Take A Bow" raises the curtain on the upcoming new CD U.S.release of Rihannas GOOD GIRL GONE BAD: RELOADED. The new configuration arrives in stores on June 17th - the week after the album officially marks its historic 52nd week on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
The original 12-song CD version of GOOD GIRL GONE BAD - source of the non-stop string of hit singles that began with the MTV VMA and Grammy Award-winning global #1 hit "Umbrella" (featuring Jay-Z), then "Shut Up and Drive," "Hate That I Love You" (featuring Ne-Yo), and the current "Dont Stop the Music" - will now be augmented with three bonus tracks: 1) "Take A Bow" 2) a cover version of Maroon 5s "If I Never See Your Face Again" (featuring Maroon 5) and 3) "Disturbia."
GOOD GIRL GONE BAD (released June 5, 2007) was the third album release in less than two years by multi-platinum MTV VMA, Grammy, and American Music Award winning artist - and CoverGirl spokesperson - Rihanna. It followed-up 2006s RIAA platinum A Girl Like Me, containing the back-to-back hits, "S.O.S." and "Unfaithful" and her RIAA gold debut from 2005, Music Of the Sun, featuring the worldwide smash, "Pon De Replay."

Good Girl Gone Bad - Reloaded

Wasnt a big Rihanna fan when she first burst on the scene. Once I found out she was hooked with Jay-Z, became more interested in her music. This album validates that she is a superstar pop talent who can test the boundaries of the music. It also doesnt hurt that Ne-Yo wrote some of her songs. "Disturbia" is ABSOLUTELY my favorite Rihanna song to date(with "Take a Bow" next on the list). Rihannas songs always have slamming beats, she is obviously beautiful and she is fierce. This album proves it. I love it.
Truthfully Overexposed

There is no question about the lack of really great albums this past year. It is very unfortunate that a lot of songs really didnt shine heart and soul. That is no doubt about it, with so many artists making poor albums that really felt like they gave more, that felt like it was a bunch of lemons. Rihanna is definitely no acception. After the overexposure of A Good Girl Gone Bad, she sadly hadnt made that opportunity shine after the overexposure of A Good Girl Gone Bad last year, with so much under her so-called Umbrella, it is very hard to say that not only wasnt it a good album, but she overexposed that appeal in 2008, with her re-editioned album. But let me put it this way, there really is nothing but very little that stays strong under this umbrella.
Rihannas 2008, A Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded is a expanded edition of Rihannas album from 2007. The collection of songs doesnt feel like it is a sparkle in the eye, but a lack of heart and mind. The collection of songs feels the mostly the same as it did before if you bought the original version of the album. While you have mostly the same songs as before like Umbrella, Shut Up & Drive the Michael Jackson-sampled Dont Stop The Music, which sampled Jacksons Thriller hit Wanna Be Startin Something, and her recent track Rehab, which feels like the soul has been battered, and lacking splice. The extra song songs dont add any glimmer either. The extra songs like Take A Bow, which its lyrics felt like it was less than heartfelt saying to a man that he is ugly when he cries was just sad, the lagging Disturbia, and a made-up collaboration of If I Never See Your Face Again with Maroon 5. The feeling on that cover not only lacks any chemistry she has with Adam Levine from Maroon 5, but the song just was better when Maroon 5 originally recorded it on their own.
While the only song I did like was her collaboration with Ne-Yo on Hate That I Love You from the original album, I wasnt really that impressed with Rihannas A Good Girl Gone Bad. As for the expanded version of that album, A Good Girl Gone bad: Reloaded, it sadly does dissapoint me. There really has been a lack of great albums this past year, and this one was a miss to my eyes. Honestly, Rihanna hasnt made a lot of great songs this past year. I really think she needs to find a better sense of making better songs that are heartfelt, than just feel flimsy under her umbrella.

I bought this CD for my wife and she loves it. I have not personally listened to it, but as much as she plays it I am sure she is quite pleased with it.
Album DescriptionExplicit Version. P!nk comes right on time in 2008 with her highly anticipated and provocatively personal Funhouse album, addressing both her public and private persona, as only P!nk can. Teaming once again with hitmakers Max Martin
